Project guide

Choose a printer around the part

Turn output requirements into a useful system brief.

01

Describe the part

Include geometry, maximum dimensions, material behaviour and surface detail. State dimensional requirements as targets to evaluate.

Preparation checklist

  • Describe the smallest critical features and the largest intended part.
  • Separate dimensional tolerance targets from surface, fit and appearance preferences.
  • List material needs and intended use; a printer alone does not establish medical suitability.
02

Explain the workload

Share typical batches, operating frequency and post-processing needs. Consider the people who will operate the system.

Preparation checklist

  • Estimate parts per batch and frequency rather than only a machine speed target.
  • Include preparation, supports, washing/curing or other relevant finishing steps.
  • Name operator experience, software workflow and sample-part review requirements.
03

Prepare the installation brief

Add the destination, available space, utilities and requested support. Ask for configuration-specific documentation and agreed sample checks.

Preparation checklist

  • State the destination market, available space and installation constraints.
  • Ask which power, ventilation, handling and safety provisions apply to the proposed process.
  • Identify training, spares, documentation and support expectations before configuration is fixed.

A planning example

Fictional example for preparing a brief; not a supplied product, completed case or feasibility guarantee.

Use
A lab wants to evaluate a printer configuration for small, detailed demonstration parts.
Input
A non-sensitive sample geometry, approximate build envelope, intended material family and expected workload.
Open decisions
Printing process, finishing workflow, critical dimensions, operator training and installation needs.
Review
Review an agreed sample and measurement method before accepting a configuration; targets are not published machine specifications.

Before a quotation is agreed

  • A configuration list identifies included hardware, software and accessories.
  • Sample geometry, material, measurement method and acceptance targets are agreed together.
  • Installation prerequisites, operator training and support boundaries are recorded.

Use targets and open questions here. Technical feasibility, scope and acceptance criteria need written confirmation.

Discuss this project ↗

Please leave out patient information and medical images. Data suitability and a secure, authorized transfer process are discussed separately.

Project brief templates

Bring a clearer brief to the conversation.

Download an English template for the service you need. Fill and save it in a PDF reader, or print it for your team to complete.

How to use these templates

Complete the details you know and write ‘To discuss’ for open points. Email the saved business brief to info@maxseas.com, or summarize it in the enquiry form. The PDF does not send automatically.

Keep patient information and medical images out of the templates and public form. Any authorized image transfer is agreed through a separate secure process.

Your project enquiry

Help us understand the project

Choose a service for a short brief checklist. A rough outline is enough to start.

Keep patient details and medical images out of this form. If image data is needed, authorization and a secure transfer route are agreed separately.

How we work ↗

20–4,000 characters. No patient details or medical images.

Send your non-sensitive project requirements directly to info@maxseas.com. Please check your email address before submitting.

After your enquiry

Your request goes to info@maxseas.com. Keep the submission reference. Our team uses your brief to discuss the next information needed and the appropriate review steps.
